Antisocial would be an understatement as to describe Ally, it’s not like they wanted to be this way, though. Being isolated for 13-16 years; in an abusive foster-home and being taught that they’re unlovable, a HELLSPAWN even, it makes them afraid of everything and everyone. Until they met Mason, that is, there was a small buildup of teenage rebellion until the incident that occurred when they were 16.
Since they had been dragged into a drug-ring afterwards, they had a weird impression of the world, which then resulted in the loss of their limbs. after that? they sort of shut down. But that only lasted a year and a half, now they’re starting again, to become better. Despite this, they’re still a bit of a “pushover” and is afraid to ask for help of any kind, not wanting to be a burden on anyone. Even flinching when someone raises their voice or moves too fast. Even if they’re cautious, Ally is also a very curious person, too. Since they had been isolated from the outside world for so long, they want to know everything and anything, especially history (It’s one of their favorite subjects). history is what lead them to Overwatch, wanting to be a good influence on a world that seems so cold.Having a speech impediment, Ally always stutters, pauses and fumbles their words- There are times where they can say a complete sentence without issue, but it’s rare. Despite all the trauma they go through; they seem to still have some type of ‘innocent’ or naïve personality, even being lenient- Believing that “everyone deserves a second chance”, unless the person has done something they believe is unredeemable. Think of them as a big, affectionate tiger. Selfless, even to the point where they would sacrifice themselves; they don’t even see themselves as a hero- They don’t want to be anything like that, even if they want to do the right thing. Labels like those make them feel guilty due to some choice words by others over the past three years. And, to try to hide the fact that they have their own issues, Ally uses comedy to cope and to make others feel better.
Allister Nova was found on the porch of the Cherk family’s home just 3 years after they were born. Despite Corey having extremely prejudiced views on 'non-humans', he decided to “raise” this child with the rest of his human family, but instead of having them live a normal life; they were isolated, abused and taught things that were morally wrong. The reason for this is most likely due to Corey believing that they don’t belong with society, and “There’s enough freaks already ruining everything” in his words. Ally doesn’t remember a whole lot of their childhood other than spending some time with Senny, their foster sister, but spending more time with their foster mother Helen as she wasn’t abusive towards them like Corey was. Helen wished that Ally could grow up normally just like Senny was but Corey (Being the asshole that he is) wouldn’t allow it due to “costs” and the possibility of the family getting in trouble because of Ally. These words tend to be repeated around them as well as being called a “Hellspawn”, so it made them start to believe that they were nothing but trouble, and had to be isolated for everyone else’s safety.as they grew older, the abuse from corey kept getting worse, from mental & physical, to sometimes sexual. but there was one form of escape; sneaking out to the forest behind the house- where they had met the gavins siblings; mason & shilo, and the three became best friends. despite their appearance, mason was very accepting and taught them a lot of things about the world that corey never could.
When Ally was 16, one night when Helen and Senny were out somewhere (Believing they were alone), they got curious about something they overheard one day regarding Corey. So they snuck into his room, finding something regarding some kind of exchange in regards to them, they didn’t have time to think about it as Corey, in a drunken state catches them sneaking around, and in a drunken rage attacks them- Choking them while muttering something about how he should’ve killed them when he had the chance; there’s a sudden feeling in them, it wasn’t fear, it was anger. Since there was a knife on the nightstand, out of some reflex and built up rage for their abusive foster father, all they remember is one swing, then blood spurting from his neck which got all over their face and chest. After realizing what they’ve done, they didn’t know what to do other than to shower, get changed and get out of there as soon as possible, all the while calling Mason through panicking, telling him that they’re coming over and that they did something terrible. After having the shower, they noticed that their hair wasn’t brown anymore… It was blue, and looked like it came from a starry night sky.Ally was only at the Gavin’s place for a few hours before the cops arrived, and Ally turned themselves in, explaining as much as they could that they didn’t mean to, and even if it was an accident they should be punished for it. The main detective for the investigation; Meri Moth had concluded that this case was self defense, as well as after some interviews with the rest of the Cherk family (as well as some other witnesses), it was ruled that Corey was abusive and if he was alive, would be charged with many cases of child abuse, neglect and assaults. The investigation lasted a month. mason had went missing a few weeks after this incident, but Shilo tried to still keep in contact with ally the best they could... but things don't always go to plan.
A while after the incident, Ally had met a man named Ricky Evans who offered them a job at a scrapyard-kind of job, but it turned out to be way more than that. Under the operation was some kind of drug-ring, they never asked any questions when they really should have. For a couple of years they would remain in this job until one day, where a delivery turned out to be some kind of setup by a rival drug-ring, lots of heavy fire which ended in an explosion...One that wouldn't be forgotten about.Ally wakes in a hospital, unable to feel their arms and legs, they would be questioned about everything, but the only thing they could think of is why Ricky wasn't there to help.. Did he abandon them like everyone else had? The moment he even stepped foot into the hospital room, they sparked- Literally. something in the accident kickstarted their ability to create plasma, and it immediately caught some attention to some people... Good people, finally.After two years of physical therapy with new prosthetic limbs and plenty of research; Ally had heard talks of the group known as Overwatch making a return... Heroes that the world thought they didn't need- But they knew better. They wanted to help, and prove everyone that they weren't a monster. they can be good, all it takes is a push in the right direction, effort and.. Help. They don't have to go through the world alone.CURRENT OBJECTIVE: Be the change you want to see in the world.
after an ult is used, ally will switch to a new form. all form's primary weapon release plasma in some way or another.
SUPPORT KIT:
PLASMOKINESIS
the main source of their powers, plasmokinesis is the ability to manipulate and/or create plasma, a form of energy mostly found in electricity and even in blood. it's extremely hot if you're not careful with it! with enough training, ally had figured out that they can use this to not only heal themselves but others as well, cauterizing almost any wound- though they always have the regular medical kits on them just in case that isn't enough.as stated above, this can be really lethal if you aren't careful, the plasma is also a weapon that can be shot from their hands.
ROLLERSally's cybernetic legs come with wheels at the back of their feet, these can be used to run (or skate) a bit faster, a very useful speed boost- though it can only go so far before needing a quick recharge.
ULTIMATE: DIMENSION CUBEalso known as the "mystery box", ally can summon this & give their teammates temporary upgrades that last roughly 10-15 seconds.upgrades can include: speed boost, fire/stun immunity, infinite ammo/capacity, or overheal.
TANK KIT:
QUAD ARMSlarge mechanical arms that sprawl from the device on their spine, used to traverse quickly, latch onto walls, multitask and be used as a shield.
CHAIN GUNplaced on their left arm, this chain gun shoots plasma bolts. seemingly infinitely until overheating is detected, & will need a few seconds to cool down.
PLASMA SHIELDas their arms pose forward by means to defend, a small bit of plasma emits to amplify the shield. depending on where the shield is shot at, it could restore a small bit of health, or damage the shield.
ULTIMATE: GALATIC TRAMPLEusing their quad arms, ally first slams onto the ground (any enemies nearby will get stunned), before charging quickly, if an enemy gets in the way they are both stunned & damaged which can result in elimination.
DPS KIT:
FRAGMENTED CANEa melee weapon, a cane made out of scrap metal with a sharp edge, and ally knows how to use it. it's used to latch onto poles (Think something like Sly Cooper), or be thrown at enemies.
SMOKE BOMBa small device that emits smoke, good to distract enemies, or to escape from them.
ULTIMATE: NOVA OUTBURSTtheir body emits sparks, which quickly become a huge electric discharge that can eliminate enemies if they are too close, or burn those within a certain range. a very dangerous explosion.

Evergreen Enterprises was a scientific technology company that focuses on forming ways of transportation & various tech that could be used as an environmentally healthy alternative to current machines. Founded by Ramon Crawford & his childhood best friend Henry Folska, the both of them were revolutionary & helped improve the life of Canadians, & even had plans to share their inventions with the rest of the world.Ramon was obsessed with finding fast ways to travel, without any real risks or heavy costs. Somehow, he is able to create a device that opened up a portal into a pocket dimension of sorts, one that can be used as a gateway from one place to another (with some coordinate modifications from a console, of course), however while his team of researchers were exploring this pocket dimension, they had found remains of an ancient civilization- One clearly not of this world, & these findings were decided to be kept a secret as to not spread some kind of mass panic onto the world.However the use of portal-traveling was known by the Canadian government as Ramon had shown them his findings, & titled it “Project Underpass”. He requested a lot of funding for this project as it could change the whole world. This was still pending.While waiting for the funding to be approved, Ramon had found a lot of things from this civilization, most importantly; DNA of the inhabitants, they are referred to as “Novas” as what their names actually were is unknown, but it is known that they were humanoid like but had animalistic features (based off murals & such that were found within the pocket dimension) & space-like hair. Samples of the DNA were transferred & experimented on in many ways. While Henry was more focused on what Evergreen is actually known for, Ramon had gotten too invested in possibly resurrecting this ancient species with the technology they have now. & That’s what he set out to do, which Henry was reluctant to help at first, unsure if this was a good idea, he went along with it as cloning technology was also still something that needed to be tested with.This side project was known as “The Children of Nova”, & there were about 8 made in total before the Omnic Crisis had started. In which Evergreen staff including Henry & Ramon had to be evacuated into an underground bunker/facility, but this setback didn’t stop Ramon from this project, as he had gotten too obsessed with seeing this through, no matter what. As the 8 children were developed, the last one piqued Henry’s interest as it was less developed as the others, a “runt in the litter” as he put it. Henry personally kept an eye on this runt, as Ramon had no intention of fully seeing it’s development go through, if it were to survive at all. The Children of Nova were born on September 14th, & lived the first few years of their life in this facility until something tragic happened. Someone had leaked the information about this side project, believing that Ramon Crawford & Henry Folska were creating biological superweapons rather than trying to bring a species out of extinction. Thus this facility was raided, & all Children of Nova were kept in some kind of stasis as to prevent them from potentially harming others, & it was the more “ethical” thing to do in the government's eyes, as killing innocent children was inhumane, regardless of their DNA.Henry however was able to escape this raid with the runt infant by his side, & had plans to raise them on their own, giving them the name “Allister”, or “Ally” for short. However while trying to find a place to stay undercover for, Henry had been ambushed by a small gang who were unaware that he was accompanied by basically a hybrid baby. Rather than putting it out of its misery, through unknown events this infant was given to the Cherk family, & you know how the rest of Ally’s backstory goes.The fate of Ramon Crawford & Henry Folska are unknown, but it’s safe to assume the both of them aren’t doing any better. Ramon’s hard work had been rejected & taken away from him, & Henry failed to protect what was basically his child (as it’s revealed that human DNA was also used to create The Children of Nova, specifically Ramon & Henry’s). Project Underpass was canned, & The Children of Nova were hidden away by the Canadian government. As far as the world knows; nothing happened.Evergreen Enterprises is still in operation in Canada, though isn’t as popular as it used to be 20-30 years ago due to how technology has advanced so much in that timeframe.At some point, Henry finds the location of Ally, & rather than try to get them back is able to sneak some kind of package to them, in hopes at once the time is right, they will open it & find their origins & the handheld device, called the Dimension Cube which was a pocket-sized version of the Project Underpass project. (This is what Ally’s ult is!)At some point, the facility that hid The Children of Nova was found by (either Talon or Overwatch, not sure yet!), & were monitored just in case. One of the children, the second last, was developed the most. This one was named “Eclipse” by Ramon, & he had high hopes of them being the one to continue the Nova bloodline, but what they’re capable of may never be found out as they are still in stasis, for now at least.
